Dr. Myra Elliot
BDS, FDSRCS (Eng), Dip Ortho RCS
Dr. Myra Elliot is the founder of Global Clinic, where she leads the organization’s oral and maxillofacial projects involving cleft lip and palate surgeries. A strong advocate for humanitarian work, she has been involved in leading teams on various medical outreach programmes since 1997 to destinations across Asia and Africa.
Dr. Elliot is an oral-maxillo-facial surgeon practising in Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. She is also an honorary consultant in several other hospitals, and since 1987, has been a part-time teacher in the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. In addition, she is a qualified orthodontist.

Dr. Chua Yang
Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, MBBS (Singapore), FRCOG (UK), FAMS, Graduate Diploma (Acupuncture), Graduate Diploma (Mental Health)
Dr. Chua Yang is a Founding Director at Global Clinic and head of the organization’s projects on women’s health.
Dr. Chua is the Director and Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at A Clinic For Women, Mt. Alvernia Hospital, Singapore. She graduated from the National University of Singapore, is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She also holds graduate diplomas in acupuncture and in mental health.
She is a frequent speaker at Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and public forums and has worked closely with private organizations as well as the Health Promotion Board, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, WINGS, SCWO, Singapore Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Foundation. Dr. Chua also sits on the editorial boards of magazines such as Motherhood, Wellness No.1, Health No.1 and Prime, and was the President of the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation from 2013 to 2017.
Her passion in providing medical care for under-served women has brought her to different cultures and communities. She continues to volunteer her time and energy for women in different parts of the world, including China, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Niger, Zambia and Myanmar. In 2010, she started the Himalayan Women’s Health Project and introduced cervical cancer screening and pre-malignant disease treatment to a community of women in Ladakh, India, who had minimal access to cervical cancer prevention by vaccination or PAP smear.
Her philanthropic efforts were recognized in 2011 with a nomination to the Singapore Women’s Weekly “Great Women of Our Time” Awards.

Dr. Marcus Ang
MBBS, MMED, MCI, FRCS, FAMS, PhD (UG, Netherlands)
As Founding Director of Global Clinic, Marcus regularly organizes missions and travels to provide free eye care and cataract surgery in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, India and Myanmar. He also serves on the Board of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and was previously on the Board of Project Orbis, Singapore as Chair. He has been commended with the President’s Award for Philanthropy in Singapore (2017), Outstanding Service in the Prevention of Blindness Award from APAO (2019), and the International Ophthalmologist Education Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) among numerous other honours.
Marcus is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist & Head of the Cornea and External Eye Disease Service & Head of Refractive Service, Singapore National Eye Center (SNEC). He also serves as Advisor at the SNEC Myopia Center.
He currently has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications (H-index=57), the majority of which are first or corresponding author with JIF>2.0 focusing on translational research. He has published important peer-reviewed articles in the LANCET (IF:202.7), LANCET Digital Health (IF: 36.615), PRER (IF:19.7), Nature Digital Medicine (IF: 15.36), and Ophthalmology (12.08); and numerous book chapters, including several in the seminal textbook, CORNEA. He has more than 20 academic awards, >$5M of competitive research grant funding, and filed 5 patents with 1 being licensed.
Marcus is also actively involved in clinical training, examining and teaching medical students and Residents every month, and has trained more than 10 local and international Fellows. As a research mentor, he has supervised several PhD theses, PhD students and numerous post-graduate students. He has been the Course Director for the International SNEC Advanced Cornea Course for many years, regularly teaching regional candidates corneal, refractive and cataract surgery via workshops and wet labs. On the international stage, he has delivered >100 lectures and published/edited several textbooks, including serving on the Editorial Committee for the AAO Basic and Clinical Science Course. He is an instructor on the APAO Leadership Development Program (LDP) and a mentor on several APAO programs to teach and develop the next generation of Ophthalmologists in the region.

Dr Lim Lii
B.D.Sc (W.Australia)
Dr. Lim Lii is a director at Global Clinic. She graduated from the University of Western Australia, and returned to Singapore to be with family after working several years in Perth. She has played an active role in the dental community since her return, contributing much of her time to the Singapore Dental Association. Lim Lii currently spends her time working part-time at a private group practice as well as teaching part-time. She is an adjunct lecturer with the School of Health Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic as well as an adjunct tutor with the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. She also serves on various subcommittees with the Singapore Dental Council, and as a Board Member of the Association of Women Doctors Singapore.

Malcolm Ong
Legal Advisor
Malcolm is a construction and projects lawyer in Singapore, and was called to the Singapore bar in 2016. In his free time and when he isn’t assisting Global Clinic, he is an avid traveller with a penchant for adventure activities. As Legal Advisor, Malcolm provides legal support for all aspects of Global Clinic’s activities.

Adrian Siew
Treasurer
With 20 years in the finance industry, Adrian has worked in various financial centres around the world during his tenure with Goldman Sachs and The Carlyle Group. Adrian graduated with First Class Honours in Bsc (Economics) Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics. In his free time, Adrian is an avid traveller and is involved in various voluntary projects around the region. As the Treasurer, he oversees the financial management of Global Clinic and is actively involved in the planning and execution of the group’s various initiatives.
